Power over persuasion

Highlights the difference between human ability and spiritual power, calling believers to depend on the Spirit for true wisdom, transformation and direction.

God’s way, not ours

The wisdom of God through the Spirit of God is the pattern.

  1. Human wisdom, speech and strength may impress, but have no real power.
    • Knowledge can inform but not transform.
    • Talent can attract but not convert.
    • Strength can build platforms but not faith.
    • 1 Corinthians 2 shows that faith should rest on God’s power, not human ability.
  2. True wisdom is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit.
    • The Spirit uncovers what the mind cannot reach.
    • God’s truth is spiritually discerned.
    • Revelation replaces guesswork.
    • Understanding grows through dependence.
  3. The Spirit leads us in all truth and gives the mind of Christ.
    • He reshapes perspective.
    • He redirects priorities.
    • He forms Christlike thinking.
    • He guides beyond logic and instinct.

Insight

  • God is not impressed by what the world applauds.
  • The Spirit reveals what effort cannot.
  • Real power shows up in changed lives, not strong arguments.
  • Dependence on God is not weakness, it is wisdom.
  • The mind of Christ is formed, not achieved.
  • Spiritual power outlasts human persuasion.
