Guard your heart

Who is in charge?

A clear challenge to examine what holds authority in daily decisions, exposing false leaders and inviting wholehearted surrender to Jesus for true freedom.

Who’s in charge of your life?

  1. Job.
    • Career or employment that can define identity and priorities.
    • Can quietly replace calling with comfort.
    • Often dictates time, energy and self-worth.
  2. Children.
    • Family responsibilities that can become the center of life.
    • Good gifts can still become controlling masters.
    • Love turns into pressure when fear leads.
  3. Pride.
    • Self-centered confidence that resists correction.
    • Refuses help and rejects accountability.
    • Blocks growth and isolates the heart.
  4. Debt.
    • Financial obligation that limits freedom and choices.
    • Creates anxiety and narrows vision.
    • Pushes decisions driven by pressure, not purpose.
  5. Jesus.
    • Savior and Lord who offers life and freedom.
    • Leads with truth, not control.
    • Restores order and brings peace.

Insight

  • Work can quietly take the lead when provision replaces dependence on God.
  • Children can take first place when fear for them outweighs faith in God.
  • Pride is the quietest and most dangerous ruler.
  • Debt controls more than money, it controls options.
  • Jesus does not compete for control, He invites trust.
